If you see the “This code is no longer valid” error, it means your eSIM has already been added to your device, or the QR code was only partially scanned due to a poor connection.
Check if Your eSIM Is Already Installed
Before trying to install your eSIM again, check if it’s already active on your device.
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap General
3. Select About and scroll down
4. If your eSIM is installed and turned on, you should see the ICCID number followed by an extra digit, as long as the eSIM is listed as “On” under Cellular Plans
Important: If you previously removed your eSIM, reinstalling it will not be possible. You’ll need to purchase a new eSIM.
If You’re Installing for the First Time
If you’re seeing this error while installing an eSIM for the first time, it could be due to:
• A poor internet connection
• An active VPN interfering with the setup
• Too many eSIMs already installed on your device
Try these steps to resolve the issue:
• Disable any active VPN before installation
• Ensure a strong and stable internet connection (Wi-Fi is recommended)
• Remove old or unused eSIMs from your device
• Check for software updates and install the latest version
• Use a different installation method (e.g., install manually if the QR code doesn’t work)
