Why Can’t I Find My Installed eSIM on My Device?

After installing an eSIM, you should see a confirmation message in your encryptSIM account. However, if you can’t locate the eSIM on your device, there may be a few reasons why.

Common Reasons You Can’t Find Your eSIM

• The eSIM has a generic label like “Personal,” “Secondary,” “Work,” or “Travel,” making it harder to recognize.

• Multiple eSIMs with similar labels are installed on your device.

• The eSIM may have been accidentally deleted from your device.

If you’re having trouble identifying the right eSIM, follow the steps below.

How to Prevent eSIM Label Confusion

To make it easier to identify your eSIM, we recommend renaming it at the time of installation.

• Choose a unique, recognizable label such as the country or region for the eSIM (e.g., “Japan” or “Europe”).

• If your eSIM covers multiple regions, consider adding details (e.g., “Asia Travel eSIM”).

• Do not delete your eSIM until you are certain you no longer need it.

How to Identify Your Installed eSIM

Each eSIM has a unique ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identifier), an 18-22 digit number assigned to it. You can use this number to identify the correct eSIM on your device.

Find Your ICCID in Your encryptSIM Account

1. Log into your encryptSIM account.

2. Go to My eSIMs and select the eSIM in question.

3. Find the ICCID number listed under eSIM details.

Match the ICCID on Your Device

Once you have the ICCID, compare it with the eSIMs installed on your device.

On iOS Devices:

• Go to Settings > General > About and scroll to find active SIMs and their ICCIDs.

On Samsung Devices:

• Go to Settings > About Phone > Status > SIM Card to locate the ICCID.

On Pixel Devices:

• Go to Settings > About Phone > SIM Status and check for the ICCID.

If you have multiple eSIMs installed, you may need to turn each one on manually and repeat these steps until you find the matching ICCID.

What If I Still Can’t Find My eSIM?

• If no matching ICCID is found, your eSIM may have been deleted from your device.

• Installation may have failed due to network issues or an incomplete setup.
