How to Reduce Data Usage on Android Devices

Android devices include a Data Saver feature that helps you control which apps can use data in the background. Apps running in the background can consume a significant amount of data, so restricting their access can help you stay within your plan.

Enabling Data Saver on Samsung Galaxy Devices

1. Open the Settings app and tap Connections.

2. Tap Data Usage.

3. Tap Data Saver.

4. Toggle on Turn on now to activate Data Saver.

5. To allow specific apps to use data while Data Saver is enabled:

Tap Allowed to use data while Data Saver is on.

Toggle on the apps you want to allow.

Enabling Data Saver on Google Pixel Devices

1. Open the Settings app and tap Network & Internet.

2. Tap Data Saver.

3. Toggle on Use Data Saver to activate the feature.

4. To allow specific apps to use data while Data Saver is enabled:

Tap Unrestricted Data.

Toggle on the apps you want to allow.

By managing background data usage, you can extend your data package and reduce unnecessary consumption. If you have any questions, contact our support team—we’re happy to help!
