Settings names and available options vary by device, software version, and carrier. If a menu looks different, search for the setting in your device’s Settings app.
Setting a mobile data limit allows you to control usage and avoid exceeding your plan. Android devices offer built-in tools to monitor data consumption and automatically disable mobile data once a set limit is reached.
For Samsung Galaxy Devices
- Open the Settings app and tap Connections.
- Tap Data Usage.
- Ensure that Mobile Data is ON , then tap Billing cycle and data warning.
- Tap Start billing cycle and set the date to match the start of your data plan.
- Enable Set data warning and enter a threshold (e.g., if your eSIM package includes 10 GB, set the warning at 8 GB).
- Enable Set data limit and enter the maximum amount of data allowed before mobile data turns off automatically.
For Google Pixel Devices
- Open the Settings app and tap Network & Internet.
- Tap SIMs.

Select your encryptSIM line before changing its data settings. Align the usage cycle with your plan’s start date. Your phone and provider may measure usage differently, so leave a buffer below your allowance.
