You can safely remove an eSIM from your iPhone when:
If your eSIM still has an active data package, we recommend keeping it installed. You can check your encryptSIM account to see if your eSIM package is still valid. If it has expired and cannot be topped up, you can remove it from your device.
Some eSIMs are one-time use and cannot be topped up. If you have an eSIM that you no longer plan to use, you can safely remove it.
If you’re replacing your existing eSIM with a new one for the same country or region, it’s best to remove the old eSIM to prevent confusion. Each new eSIM you purchase must be installed separately.
1. Open Settings and go to Cellular or Mobile Data.
2. Select the eSIM you want to remove.
3. Tap Remove Mobile Data Plan (this may also appear as “Remove eSIM” or “Delete Mobile Plan,” depending on your device).
4. Confirm the removal.
Once removed, the eSIM cannot be reinstalled. If you need to reconnect, you will need to purchase and install a new eSIM.
