Troubleshooting: Unable to Delete an eSIM on Samsung Galaxy S22

Some Samsung Galaxy S22 users have reported a known software bug preventing them from deleting an eSIM or causing the SIM manager to fail to load. If you’re experiencing this issue, don’t worry—there are a few workarounds you can try until Samsung releases an official software update.

Check for Software Updates

Since this is a known bug, Samsung may have released a fix in a recent update.

Go to Settings.

Scroll down and tap Software update.

Tap Download and install.

If an update is available, install it and restart your device.

Force the SIM Manager to Reload

Removing and reinserting a physical SIM card can sometimes reset the SIM manager, allowing you to delete the eSIM.

Insert a SIM removal pin into the tray release hole.

Gently pull out the SIM tray.

Ensure that a physical SIM is in the tray.

Reinsert the tray and restart your device.

Restart Your Device

A simple reboot can sometimes resolve temporary software glitches.

Press and hold the side key + volume down button simultaneously.

Tap Restart.

Tap Restart again to confirm.

Reset Network Settings

This will reset all network configurations, including Wi-Fi, mobile data, and Bluetooth settings.

Go to Settings.

Scroll down and tap General management.

Tap Reset.

Tap Reset network settings.

Tap Reset settings to confirm.

Still Can’t Delete Your eSIM?

If none of these solutions work, the issue may require a firmware update from Samsung or assistance from your carrier. We recommend contacting Samsung Support for software-related concerns or your carrier if your device was purchased through a mobile provider and may have restrictions. If you need further assistance, contact encryptSIM support, and we’ll be happy to help.
